Jessica Mangels
Junior Research Analyst
Jessica Mangels graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 2025, holding a bachelor’s degree in environmental science. She brings a background in topics such as geology, restoration ecology, principles of environmental site assessment, environmental decision-making and writing to have a well-rounded understanding of environmental related sciences. Pursuing an education minor helped her to gain essential tools for clearly communicating technical scientific knowledge to various audiences.
Ms. Mangels’s position as a Junior Research Analyst has allowed her to apply this background knowledge to real-world environmental consulting projects that MECC conducts. Her role in analyzing historical land use through regulatory databases and environmental records helps to assess site-specific contamination risk. This information is utilized to develop quality Phase I environmental reports which meet regulatory ASTM 1527-21 standards and client expectations.
